Hi everyone! Join me at two parties today. One party is at Coloradolaby for Vintage Thingie Thursday. And the other is Things I Love Thursday at The Diaper Diaries.
During one of my thrifting adventures at an antique mall, I came across this little treasure. And the awesome and amazing part was the price! Sometimes you can really find a wonderful surprise at an antique mall that fits your budget. And this one fit mine and therefore, came home with me!
It is an Anchor Hocking Depression glass cake stand.

Do you see that price tag?

$3.00! Can you believe that? I can't even buy a cheapo cake stand any where for $3.00 let alone a pretty depression glass one! I was doing little giddy happy dances all over the place when I found it!
I did some research on it and found a little bit of information. It was made in the late 1930's and is an Ivory White Cake Plate by Anchor Glass/22K Gold. It has an awesome extra feature, the cake plate is designed to cut equal pieces. There are grooves cut out to guide you when you cut the cake.

The average price I am seeing on this piece online is $36.00.
With the exception that I need to clean it, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this pretty cake stand.

I am so thrilled to find this treasure! I just love it!
