Show and Tell Friday

Today is Show and Tell Friday at Cindy's blog, "My Romantic Home". Make sure you drop by and see how beautiful Cindy looks in her new car! Love that license plate!!

Today I have a few "non-thrift store" purchases. I managed to NOT hit the after Christmas sales until just last week. I just wasn't in the mood and I wanted to wait and hit the sales when they went 75% off. I figured, whatever I found was fine and I wasn't going to worry about what items I didn't get when it was 50% off.

I bought very few actual Christmasy things. I really try to find items that I could use throughout the year. And here is what I found.

Look at these beautiful placemats and napkins sets. They have no Christmas design on them. Instead they are a pretty color on color check pattern. Originally they were $9.00 for the set of eight pieces. I got them for $2.50 each set!! I got them at Walmart. I also purchases 6 boxes of 6 cream colored votive candles in a vanilla scent for .25 cents (per box of 6).

I got these gorgous candles at T J Maxx. All of their Christmas was marked at least 50% off and then you got another 50% off that price! So, I got this set of 8 beautiful candles for $1.50.

I got this set of beaded napkin holders from T J Maxx as well. They are dark green. The price ended up being $1.25 for the set of four.

So, did you find any great bargains after Christmas that can be used throughout the year?

  4. I also love after Christmas sales, or any holiday sales. I usually get some okay buys, but you get really great buys. I have to drop back by and see if there's anything left candle wise. I can never have enough candles.

  7. I enjoyed seeing the bargains you got at the after Christmas sales. You did a great job. They are all lovely.

I didn't bother checking out the sales this year. Not much that I want nor need.

    Wishing you a great weekend.
    Blessings,
    Mary

  11. I didn't get to shop any after Christmas bargains either. I usually try to see what Target and Michaels have but this year there was just too much work! However, you scored a great deal! I love the candles! -April
