Finer Things FridayFrugalicious FridayShow and Tell Friday

I only had 4 more days to go until Febuary 1st and the "no thrifting until Febuary" curfew was over. Did I make it? Um...no. Oh, I was being so good. Honest. I kept myself out of thrift stores, flea markets and antique malls for the last 2 weeks. Then earlier this week we were out and about and decided to stop at Salvation Army to see if they had gotten any popcorn poppers. We have been looking for one at the thrift stores for awhile now. Well, Troy found one and it is a super cool vintage one to boot at a great price. You can see it and read all about it on his blog post here.

So, there I am, in a thift store...lalala....I'm not looking around..no looking....see me not looking.....Ohhhhhhhhhh....what is that? I am just going to take a quick peak inside this cute bright green egg shaped box (although the pictures do not show the color very well). Oh, it's heavy. Hummmm.

The box is in great shape so, I peak in. You know, just to satisfy my curiousity, certainly not to purchase.

Oh how cute! 4 egg shaped 9.5 inch polka dot plates! All of them are in perfect condition. Blue, green, orange and pink polka dots. They are so awesome! And the price....

$4.99, not bad. But, it was YELLOW sticker day! That means half off the sticker price!! $2.50! They HAD to come home with me!! There is no manufacturer name on the plates or the box so, I have no idea who made them. But, they are a very nice quality and weight. They are going to look so cute on an Easter table! I am so happy to have found this sweet dish set.

And as a bonus, a couple of weeks ago when I went to the indoor flea market and spent all my monthly thrifting allowance (LOL) I had picked up this cute dish for .25 cents! I think it will look really nice with my new egg dishes.

I hope everyone heads over to the three blogs I mentioned at the top of this post and check out all the great posts others are sharing today!
