Vintage Thingie Thursday

Hi everyone! Today is "Vintage Thingie Thursday" over at Coloradolady hosted by the very sweet Suzanne! Stop by and check out what Suzanne is showing toay long with all the other participants!

Last month at the antique mall, I got this set of salt and pepper shakers. I thought they were unique and for $1.00, I decided to buy them.

As you can see from this first picture, the top little thingie is broken off one of the shakers.

I have not been able to find out anything about this set. I know they are not silver, they are plated and they are cast.

They have a cool peacock motif on them.

This is the Hallmark on the bottom of them. We have searched and searched and have come up empty trying to find out anything about them. So, if anyone out there has any clue about this set, please let me know.

  1. Very nice. What is it with silver plate this year? All the rage. Myself included. But with peacock? Awesome!

  2. Wow that is something else, with the peacock well intricately put in that small shaker that is a good find.

  3. Those are very interesting salt and pepper shakers. I am not familiar with the design or pattern. You would think the Hallmark company would have information.

I've got a little silver statue that I've been trying to get info on, with no success. You're supposed to be able to find everything on the internet!
