Can you believe it is already the week of Christmas? Where did the time go?
This week is going to be pretty simple for most of the dinners. Christmas Eve will be dinner at my brother's house. I will be making lasagna and a spinach, feta and strawberry salad. Then Christmas dinner is a 7 course Italian meal made by Troy and I (my parents will be here as well). This is a tradition for us. For the past 11 years troy and I have made a huge multi course dinner from a different country. Each Christmas night after we have eaten, we draw a country out of a hat and that will be next year's meal. This is the one "go all out" meal we do a year. It started as a gift from us to my parents. I will be posting our menu for this year's meal later this week.
So, here is the simple part of this week's meals.....
Monte Cristo Sandwiches and pasta salad
Tuesday
Chili and leftover pasta salad
Wednesday
Tuna Sandwiches, sliced veggies and homemade fries
Thursday
Dinner at Brothers house (I'm making lasagna & salad)
CHRISTMAS
7 course Italian dinner
Saturday
Leftovers
Sunday
Eat Out!

What a lovely tradition. Also, it's fun to cook together.
ReplyDeleteYou have a delicious menu planned!
I’m so glad that my husband isn’t working on Christmas Eve and Christmas. He really needs the days off. This is the best family Christmas gift!
Here’s wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!
ps Please stop by my blog and leave a comment to "Do you still read the newspaper?"
Merry Christmas!
