Christmas Butter Pats

When I was thinking about our Christmas dinner, I knew we were serving fresh homemade mini Italian bread loaves so, I was going to use little butter plates. I really like having butter at each serving setting so people don't have to reach around and try to get the butter.

I was wishing I had some Christmas candy molds but, I didn't. Then I remembered the little candy tray that came in the Advent calender we just finished up. So, I cleaned it. Let some butter soften. Once it was soft enough I filled the tray and covered it in plastic wrap and put back in the fridge.

They popped right out and turned out great! I was so pleased. So, think about plastic trays that contain candy that have fun shapes. They can be used for different things.

And that was my thrifty Christmas shaped butter pats for this year...a recycled cheap candy advent calendar tray!
