Gratituesday

Hi everyone! With Thanksgiving in just 2 days, I wanted to take a few minutes to a post about my blessings.

This has been a pretty rough year for us. However, we have had so many blessings to be grateful for this year. I am amazed at the strength and courage I have been given by God to get through things I never woud have thought I could get through.

If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you probably notice that I rarely talk about any negative things in my life. Why? For several reasons. For me, if I talk about them on my blog, I feel that I am giving them more power. We all have tough things we deal with everyday but, for me, I write in my blog to help other people with tight finicial times and to share some fun things that are happening with me. If I let the negative things in my life flood over and out into my blog on a daily basis, that strips away a postive in my life. Does that make sense?

I enjoy blogging and all the fun, sweet, talented people I have had the pleasure of "meeting" through blogging. In it's own way, my blog is a blessing to me. Who would have thought the world of blogging could be such a great tool for a postive outlet? I have always kept a journal of some sort in my life but, blogging is so much more in some ways. When a day is super stressful, I can go online and do a silly or fun post about some fun thrifty thing I learned or found and share it with others. It cheers me up and helps me to pull out some positive thoughts for that day. It's a release.

So, for this Thanksgiving, I am grateful for so many things. A husband who is also my best friend. A beautiful little girl who keeps me on my toes everyday. A wonderful family that is always there for me. Wonderful friends who care about me and hang in there when times are rough. And to all the wonderful people out there in the blogoshere who take a few minutes and read my posts and then give of themselves a few more minutes to leave me a sweet comment.

When I think of my blessing, I think of all the people in my life. I rarely think of the things in my life. Those things come and go but, the people who touch my heart leave lasting impressions.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are blessed to be surrounded by the people that are important and loved in your life!
