Tuesday Kitchen Tip!

Are your eggs fresh?

To figure out whether an egg is fresh, put it in a pan of cool, salted water. If it sinks, it is fresh. If it rises to the surface, throw it away.

  1. I never have time to do that but when I use eggs I always break each one individually and then dump them together just incase one egg looks a little old. Now I wish I had the opportunity to eat a fresh egg. I just need to buy a farm of my own:)

  2. I always have fresh eggs now that I have my own hens! We have a couple of 'customers' now, and that will help with using up the extra eggs that we don't use each week, PLUS it will pay for the scratch grains and feed the hens consume!
