Sunday Favorite

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today is the day that our lovely hostess Chari at Happy to Design invites us to revisit an old post of ours. As always, thank you Chari for hosting this weekly meme. Not only does it give us a chance to revisit a past post but, it gives us bloggers a little Sunday rest!

This post, originally posted back in April, is actually sending you to Walletpop. I just thought it was fun to see what some of the big stores looked like when they first started out. Hope you enjoy this little stroll through the past.

Check out some of your favorite stores with pictures of what they originally looked like and when they were established. It is fun to step back and look at a little history. The article is at WalletPop HERE!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

  2. Hi Diann...

Ohhh...this was sooo cool! Loved seeing the humble beginnings of so many big businesses of today! Loved the Woolworths Store...I remember going to Woolworths when I was a teenager...it was the "in thing" to do...sitting at the soda fountain counter drinking coca-cola and ordering a hamburger! It was at Woolworths that I bought all the newest 45 records! Hehe! Sure brought back alot of memories for me today...thank you so much for sharing this site with us...loved it!!!

Have a super Sunday, my friend!

  3. Very interesting! I'd always wondered about Wal-Mart and Target, it's like all of a sudden there was one on every corner and where did they come from? Thanks for sharing.
