A Couple of Thrift Store Finds

Here are a few of my finds for the week.

I love colored glass. I don't care if it is vintage or brand spanking new. And I love all colors. I found this good size green glass candle holder (or at least that is what I will be using it for) at the thrift store for .99 cents. I am envisioning a yummy scented Christmas candle burning with maybe a pretty Christmas bow tied around it.
Oh, and I know you are probably so jealous of my "uber-chic" cardboard back drop! I might start selling them on Ebay! LOL Okay, I was lazy. The table was filled with packages and my countertops have drying paint projects on them and I just didn't feel like moving everything to take a few pictures.
The Hubs thought it would be a good idea if, on occasion, I use another item in the picture to show a comparison in size. So, this is a pretty big apple and I can honestly say, it was a very good apple because I ate it right after I was done taking pictures! LOL I got tired of looking at it and not eating it!

I saw this and fell in love. I was probably the only person who even gave it a second glance. But, that's me..the odd duck!
I knew when I first saw it that it was an old lamp base. I still like it for a candle holder. The base is super heavy and you can see from this picture where the cord went through. The price of $4.99 was slashed in half due to it was.....YELLOW STICKER DAY!! So, for the low, low price of $2.50 this gaudy little sucker came home with me!
For some reason the picture doesn't show the background color on these little ceramic canisters. The color of them are a beautiful creamy yellow. I got the 2 of them for .99 cents.

A set of 4 little glass dessert bowls with gold rims and a gold stripe. All 4 were .99 cents.
Okay, these were not from the thrift store. I got them at Dollar General. Aren't they cute. They are little fabric pumpkins.

Those are my little treasures. Head over to these blogs and see what treasures others found this week!
