This is a serving bowl/tray (?) thing. LOL I picked it up at a resale shop that I have talked about before. It was the most expensive thing I bought that day! It was a whopping $1.89. I have no idea how old this piece is but, it has some major crazing. Which by the way, I love. Does anyone else love that or am I just the oddball?

ReplyDeleteMine is up too.
You are special, indeed, Diann. I like your blues, and I especially like that blue dish. I have a similarly shaped blue dish on top of my husband's chest to hold his change and keys. Thanks for sharing, and Happy Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteMorning
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog, I am returning the honour. I love the plate, you seem to get such great bargains in the USA!!
Best wishes, Jackie in UK.
You are special! And that's a good thing. I love the deep blue of the whatever dish that can be used in several different ways. Enjoy your great find. Clever arrangement on the mosaic.
ReplyDeleteHappy BLUE/MOSAIC Monday ;-)
Neat dish. Wonderful find! Thrifty is always good. Although I did buy a front grill from a 1950's Jeep at a garage sale the other day for a Christmas present but now I'm thinking .... ummm.... what was I thinking ?!?
ReplyDeleteGreat mosaic with a blue touch! Living in this economy, the price tag is a perfect reminder to be "special"..
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely mosaic with the blue touch.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Monday
It is good to be special...at least that is what I tell my children...lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your mosaics and this find of a dish.
Fun.

I love the crazing on old pieces too...it ages a piece for me. And the price tag in your mosaic...it just helps to show how thrifty you are!

Hi Diann,
ReplyDeleteI like your new acquisition (such a nifty word!) This plate is a great shape and the pattern has good composition (very designer ~ish term!) Thank you for following my site, because now I can stalk yours, lol! My entire life I’ve been a DIY kind of gal. When I was younger I did it for the fun and the challenge, but later realized how much better it was for our environment. I lived overseas and flying back and forth gained an understanding it’s a small world after all.

I love the pattern and its design.. Great BM entry!
ReplyDeleteHere's my first Blue Monday entry.
I love the sky and flowers in that mosaic.

ReplyDeleteWell yes you are special! I rarely take off a price tag if you aren't going to see it...ie the bottom of dishes. I can't tell you how many times it has come in handy when someone asks where did you find that?
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting....I see you use coupons...my husband is the coupon KING!

ReplyDeleteOk at 1.89... I say you win! Beautiful. I still have price tags on also. Keep showing hubby how much it really cost me. Proof haha

That dish was a wonderful bargain, Diane! I'm never lucky to find nice things like that at a throfty sale. Loved the photo effects!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Diann... loved the mosaics. I need to learn to do those. I think it would be fun to make patterns out of pictures. Loved what you did with the special effects.

Love your looks here! The blue dish is so pretty. Oh, isn't it wonderful we can play like that? I could stay on the puter all day. Who needs clean clothes or home cooked meals? :)

shelia;)
Lol...you definitely are special! Thanks for sharing. That's lovely. I could have used that plate for my pumpkin bread I baked this weekend. I just realized I don't have anything bread shaped to serve it in or display it.
ReplyDeleteDoes that make me sad? Nope, it makes me happy because now I have an excuse to go thrifting...lol.
Have a blessed Week!
I like the crazing also. It makes it look old and pretty.
ReplyDeleteClever collage, the price tag just adds to it!
ReplyDeleteYou find the best deals a that shop and you present them perfectly, price tag and all. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteLovely blues ... kewl effect on that second photo and marvelous mosaic too! I love to multi-task like this myself. Of course, I love mosaics so much that I tend to go overboard on Mondays and post on all three blogs ... just because. Thanks for visiting mine at Happily Retired Gal and hope you're having a delightful day.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Hi Diann...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...pretty mosaics, my friend! And...I love that blue tray...love the leaves and little berries on it! No...you're not an "oddball"...I love the crazing on the old dishes...it just brings a bit more charm and patina to the piece! Hehe!
