Menu Plan Monday

I have a goal set for myself this coming week. I want to go back to creating a Monthly Menu instead of doing it week to to week. I used to be pretty organized and kept a monthly meal schedule up to date. But, lately, I am lucky just getting out my menu for the week.

But, I have been working on getting my pantry well stocked and the freezer stocked so, I think I am ready to go back to monthly planning when it comes to meals. Not to mention, it really helps keeping a good rein on the food budget.

Of course I will still post my weekly menu and there will be times when the menu's change a bit here and there depending if I got a great deal on a perishable item or we have Restaurant mystery shops to do that week.

Okay, I know y'all don't care about that but, writing it out on my blog makes me more accountable. LOL. On to my menu for the week.

Homemade Baked Potato and Corn Chowder
(earlier this week Troy ran into a great deal on 8 cartons of half and half. They were about to reach the expiration date and so they were marked down to .89 cents each. they went straight into the freezer. But, I will be using some for this chowder)
Spinach/strawberry/walnut salad

Sweet & Sour Meatballs (half beef, half turkey burger)
Chopped Salad

Sage and Rosemary Pork chops
Mashed Potatoes with herbs
Sauteed fresh Green Beans and Almond slices

Leftover buffet (I'm taking this idea from Laura)

(Cook from Food Storage Night)
Beef tips and Noodles
Mix of veggies
Pickle/olive/pepper platter

"Finger Food Night & Movie Night"
Lots of fresh veggies for dipping and on tea sandwiches
Tuna on Toast Points
Salmon Mix cooked inside crescent rolls
Fresh Fruit

Taco Soup
Chips & Salsa
Marinated fresh veggies
