Spring Cleaning!

Over at Simple Mom blog, she is starting "The Spring cleaning Party". Today is day 1. I thought I would actually try and join the party and get some encouragement to get some de-cluttering and cleaning done. I won't be doing it everyday because we won't be home everyday. But, I hope to follow along as much as possible.

We think of being thrifty in terms of money, which is true. However, being thrifty can also play a big part in time management and organization. One of the worst "anti-thrifty" things that can happen is forgetting to pay a bill on time. Why did I forget? Oh, I don't know...maybe due to the fact that the bill got shuffled into stack of other papers and I didn't even bother to write the due date and amount due on my calendar. Nawwwww, that can't be it!

That is why I am going to join the Simple Mom Spring Cleaning party!

And to hold myself accountable....{{{{DEEP Breath Diann...you can do this!}}}}...I am going to post before and after picks of my decluttered clean areas. GULP!

So, here we go.....

Our dining room table. Everything lands on this spot in the house. This has been bugging me everytime I walk into the dining room.

And here is the lovely end of the counter next to the main phone. Always a catch-all area.

I know my old toaster oven ain't pretty but, I bought it for $1.99 at a thrift store 6 years ago and it works great!

Woohoo! I can officially say my kitchen and dining room are cleaned and decluttered!

  1. It's looking good so far! Keep up the good work. I felt SO great after I got all the piles of stuff taken care of (and my entire office looked like your table so it was a chore!).
