Tuesday's Tips!

Today is all about the multi-use coffee filter. Even if you are not a coffee drinker, coffee filters are cheap and you get a ton of them. Look at what uses they can serve. Do you have any uses to add to this list? Please leave a comment and share them with us!:

.) Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave. Coffee filters make excellent covers.

.) Clean windows and mirrors. Coffee filters are lint-free so they’ll leave windows sparkling.

.) Protect China - Separate your good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each dish.

.) Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.

.) Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.

.) Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.

.) Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent the soil from going through the drainage holes.

.) Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.

.) Absorb Grease - Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc. on them. Soaks out all the grease.

.) Make little "treat bags" for party's or showers. Put candy/nuts in, pull together and tie with a ribbon.

.) When making baskets or boxes of homemade goodies, separate the different cookies or candies buy using a coffee filter.

.) Instant little snack bowls for picnics or parties.

.) I line my cup holders in my truck with them for all those to go drinks that "sweat" and puddle in the holder.

Just a side note: I have see different lists showing some other uses for coffee filters but, for me those tips didn't work. As an example "Use a coffee filter to drain your grease through". Well coffee filter are a bit too sturdy for that and the oil just sits in them (well, maybe after a few days it will slowly filter through).
