Look what I got!

Okay, there were quite a few bargains to be had this past week. I only took advantage of a minor portion of them. Let's face it, most of us lead extremely busy lives. We just can't possibly get to all the great deals out there. We just don't have the time or to be honest, the energy. Or maybe I am just talking about myself. LOL. But, I am trying to go out at least once a week and snag a few deals. Remember I, too, am trying to work on my food storage/pantry. Fruit and Vegetable juice are still a "need to stock up area" for me. I have other areas I need to work on but, I am trying to really focus on one or two specific items and then hopefully I can pick up some bonus things along the way. Like I did today. I managed to get 4 more bottles of juice to add to FS and some bonus things.

So, today I had the opportunity to have a few hours alone. Woohoo! And since this was the last day of the sales, I was lucky to grab a few of these bargain before they went away.

I am lucky that all the stores I wanted to go to were all within a mile radius of each other so, I didn't have to go chasing down sales all over the place.

And I am so proud to say that I had my exact list and coupons for each store and did NOT buy a single item that was not on the list! Woohoo me! I went into the stores and went directly to the items I was to purchase and did not look around at all! And believe me that was so hard, especially at Meijer because they were having some really good sales on things I needed or wanted. However, this was a tight week and I held my ground!

I forgot to add the two Ban Deodorants I got to the picture.

Total spent = $4.01
(and $1.44 of that was tax!)

Here is how it broke down:

First stop CVS:

4 jugs of Purex Laundry Detergent ( BOGO free sale + 2 coupons for BOGO free)
The Softsoap Body Wash (sale price $4.99 and received $5.00 ECB)

I want to give a shout out to my friendly and very helpful CVS worker Steph! Thanks Steph for all your help (see, I did mention you! LOL)

On to Target

2 Ban deodorants ( new lower price $2.00 + 2 coupons for $2.00 of each)

Next up Rite Aid

5 boxes of Kotex Lightdays ( sale price .99 cents each + 2 coupons for $1.50 off of 2 and 1 coupon for .75 cents off 1)

Vitamin Water ( sale price .99 + 1 coupon for $1.00 off)

Total spent: $1.59

Last but, not least, Meijer

4 bottles of V8 Fusion Juice ( sale price 2/$5.00 + 4 coupons for $2.00 off 1 bottle)

Total spent: $2.12

What I didn't include was early this week I did get to Target and got:

2 Ban Deodarants (Free)
10 boxes of 10 individual packs of fruit gummies ($1.52 each + 10 $1.00 off of each box coupons)
4 bags of Hershey Bliss (clearanced Easter candy for 1.70 a bag + 4 $1.00 of each bag coupons)

Total: $8.48

The fruit gummies will be perfect to toss a few in the "To Go" bag for picnics, festivals or camping. The Hershey Bliss will be put into the baking supplies I have and used instead of chocolate chips.

So, my Grand total for building up the FS/Pantry for the week was $12.49

My absolute minimum that I have committed to my FS weekly budget is $15.00. I have been fortunate to have been putting in $20.00 a week for a few weeks now. So, this week I had $2.51 left over + the extra $5.00 I added! It is building up nicely for a big bargain shopping trip!
